NHS community engagement event at Bridlington Spa to discuss future local health and care services.
People across Bridlington and the east coast are being invited to help shape the future of local health and care services later this month, as York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust launches a series of community engagement events at Bridlington Spa.
The Trust, working alongside wider health and care partners, is encouraging patients, residents, staff and community organisations to share their experiences and priorities as work continues on a long‑term vision for services in the town. The informal drop‑in sessions are designed to give people a chance to speak directly with teams, ask questions and learn more about current services and future plans.
Visitors will be able to hear updates on Bridlington Hospital, including ongoing work to strengthen services on site, as well as the latest proposals for the Bridlington Care Unit — a topic that has been central to public discussion in recent months. Staff from local health and care organisations will be available throughout each session to explain what is happening now, what is being considered for the future, and how community feedback will influence decision‑making.
The engagement events will take place at Bridlington Spa on the following dates:
-
Monday 27th July, 4pm to 7pm
-
Tuesday 28th July, 10am to 1pm
No booking is required, and residents are welcome to drop in at any time.
For those unable to attend in person, an online survey will open in the coming days, offering another way for people to share their views. All feedback gathered — both online and at the events — will help inform the longer‑term development of health and care services in Bridlington.
