Bridlington Armed Forces Day Parade 2025

Bridlington will proudly honour serving personnel, veterans and cadets when Armed Forces Day returns to the town on Saturday, 4th July 2026, bringing a full afternoon of parades, displays and celebrations.

The annual event, expected to draw large crowds, will run from noon until 4pm across the seafront and town centre.

Participants will gather at the War Memorial on Wellington Road from 11.40am, ahead of the parade stepping off at midday. Marchers will make their way through the town, pausing for a moment of respect at the memorial before continuing towards the Yacht Club on South Marine Drive.

There, dignitaries including the Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Council Chairman, the Mayor of Bridlington, and local MP Charlie Dewhirst are expected to attend a formal salute.

A warm welcome is planned from the Royal Naval Association, with celebrations continuing along South Promenade near the RNLI station, where visitors will find military vehicle displays, veterans’ and cadet stalls, and a packed afternoon of entertainment.

Adding to the atmosphere, the Bridlington Gold Radio Roadshow, sponsored by Richardson Motor Group, will be on site, providing music and entertainment throughout the day.

The Royal British Legion Riders and local ex‑service associations will also take part, with motorcycles joining the parade and lining up along the promenade.

Event organiser Martin Barmby praised the community effort behind the day, saying: “Once again the Armed Forces Day has been brought together by volunteers and goodwill from many people. I would like to thank Bridlington RNLI for all their help and continued assistance.”

A military aircraft flypast is confirmed for some point during the afternoon, subject to weather and operational conditions.
