A woman has been arrested after police were called to reports of a disturbance at a wind farm on Bridlington Road in Fraisthorpe on Monday, 11th May 2026.
Officers received information that a woman was refusing to leave the site when asked and was allegedly blocking traffic from entering or exiting the wind farm. When police arrived, the woman reportedly left the area in a vehicle.
It is believed she returned a short time later. As officers attempted to speak with her, she is said to have locked herself inside her vehicle and turned the radio up loudly. Moments later, it was reported that she drove her vehicle into a police car, causing damage.
A 70‑year‑old woman was arrested on suspicion of interfering with the operation of key national infrastructure, dangerous driving, criminal damage, and assaulting an emergency worker.
