Making a Difference This Christmas: Pink Pigeon’s Mission for Local Kids

Following last year’s incredible success, Pink Pigeon Events & Markets is gearing up for another season of festive fun — and this time, their mission is deeply personal.

The Bridlington-based organisers, known for their vibrant outdoor markets and community spirit, are finalising entertainment plans for five festive fairs across the town. Advertising kicks off in early October, with traders already booked and ready to bring a sparkle to the season.

Last year’s events helped Pink Pigeon purchase and distribute over 100 Christmas gifts to people spending the holidays alone or in hospital. Extra funds also allowed them to deliver children’s presents to The Hinge Centre, spreading joy across the community.

This year, their goal is even more ambitious: to provide a wellbeing “I’m okay, not okay” wristband to every primary school-aged child in Bridlington — all 2,089 pupils. The initiative supports children’s mental health, helping them express their feelings in a simple, positive way.

“We don’t want recognition — we just want to make a tiny difference,” said the organisers. “It’s our personal choice to do this.”

All profits from trader fees, tombolas, and raffles at the upcoming festive fairs will go directly toward funding the wristbands.
