Bridlington RNLI Balances Training, Fundraising and Family Life This September

As summer begins to draw to a close, Bridlington RNLI’s volunteer crew are preparing for another busy month of training, fundraising, and community engagement.

Throughout September, the volunteers will continue balancing family life, work commitments, and lifesaving pager duties while taking part in a packed programme of station activities. Regular operational exercises — including joint sessions for the All-Weather Lifeboat (ALB) and Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) — will keep skills sharp and ensure crews remain ready to respond whenever the pager sounds.

Alongside training, station volunteers will be supporting local events, attending fundraising activities, and helping to promote essential water safety advice across the community. Every event provides an opportunity to meet supporters, raise vital funds, and share potentially lifesaving messages with residents and visitors alike.

Although the peak summer season may be coming to an end, Bridlington’s coastline remains busy, and the RNLI volunteers continue to stand ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether responding to an emergency at sea, supporting community events, or educating people about staying safe around the water, every member of the Bridlington RNLI family plays an important role.
