Humberside Police’s Bridlington Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on mobile patrol during a wet Wednesday evening (2nd September 2026) when they spotted a vehicle being driven on local roads.
Checks revealed that the driver was operating the car on a provisional licence and did not have the correct insurance for the purpose of his journey.
The driver was reported for multiple offences, including:
👉 Driving Otherwise Than in Accordance With a Licence 👉 Driving a Motor Vehicle Without Third‑Party Insurance
The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Officers say the stop forms part of their ongoing proactive policing efforts to keep Bridlington’s roads safe and ensure drivers comply with licence and insurance laws.
