The man who died following a stabbing on First Avenue in Bridlington earlier this week has been named by his family as 25-year-old Ibrahim Yesildeniz.
Emergency services were called to the address at around 5.20am on Monday, 10th August 2026, where Ibrahim was found with life‑threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died a short time later.
Ibrahim’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and have requested privacy as they come to terms with their loss.
Mehmet Gundez, 24, of Bridlington, who identifies himself as Turkish, has been charged with murder in connection with Ibrahim’s death. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 12th August 2026).
