Residents in Bridlington will have the chance to meet East Riding Fostering this summer, as the team heads out to community events to speak with people interested in becoming foster carers.
The fostering team will be at Bridmas on Bridlington Beach on Wednesday 5th August, offering friendly, informal conversations for anyone curious about fostering and what it involves.

Councillor Victoria Aitken, Cabinet Member for children, families and education, said:
“Our fantastic, friendly fostering team are out and about across the summer, to talk to people about fostering. Discover what fostering involves, the different options, and the children who need your support. I’d encourage anyone who wants to know more, to take the opportunity to have an informal chat at one of the community events.”
East Riding Fostering emphasises that there is no single ‘ideal’ type of foster carer. People from all backgrounds are encouraged to explore fostering, with the most important qualities being time, patience, humour, and the ability to love.
Foster families come in all shapes and sizes, and the team helps prospective carers find the type of fostering arrangement that best suits their home, lifestyle and family dynamics.
