Shoppers at Morrisons in Bridlington were treated to a touch of festive pantomime magic this weekend as members of the cast of Harbourside Theatre Group's upcoming production of Aladdin and His Magic Lamp took to the supermarket to meet the public, hand out leaflets and spread Christmas cheer.
Families and shoppers of all ages stopped to chat with the cast, pose for selfies and find out more about this year's magical production. Youngsters were delighted to meet some of the colourful characters from the show, while plenty of adults also joined in the fun.
Among those making a big impression was the larger-than-life Widow Twankey, who was happily flirting her way around the store, raising smiles and laughter wherever she went. True to panto tradition, Twankey proved that mischief is never far away when she's around.

The visit offered a taste of what's in store when Aladdin and His Magic Lamp arrives on stage later this year. Written and adapted by Mike Hammond, the pantomime promises a whirlwind adventure packed with magic, mayhem, laughter and festive fun.
Audiences will join Aladdin, Princess Bo Ling, Dame Twankey, Ping, Pong and Wishee Washee, along with the magical Genie of the Lamp, the Spirit of the Ring and the evil Abanazar, on an unforgettable journey filled with music, dancing, comedy and plenty of audience participation.
As with every great pantomime, audiences will be encouraged to cheer for the heroes, boo the villains and join in with all the songs, laughter and magical surprises along the way.
The cast's appearance at Morrisons is just the first of several promotional events taking place across Bridlington in the run-up to the show, giving local residents plenty of opportunities to meet the characters and find out more about the production.
