Bridlington’s £15.5m Multi‑Storey Car Park Set to Open This October

Construction on Bridlington’s brand‑new multi‑storey car park at Beck Hill is entering its final stage, with the official opening to the public scheduled for October 2026.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has invested £15.5 million to create the 426‑space facility, located between Manor Street and Hilderthorpe Road, as part of a wider regeneration strategy to boost footfall, ease congestion, and support local businesses year‑round.

Designed by Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher and built by Henry Boot Construction, the car park’s striking façade features vertical twisted fins shaped to resemble ocean waves — a tribute to Bridlington’s coastal identity.

The project also includes enhancements to the nearby Gypsey Race watercourse, improving green space connections to Gypsey Race Park.

An official ribbon‑cutting ceremony will take place in October, attended by council representatives, community leaders, and project partners.
