Four Men Found Guilty Over Prison‑Directed Cocaine Network – Humberside Police

Detectives have dismantled a cocaine supply network targeting Bridlington, discovering the operation was being directed from inside a prison cell.

Four members of the organised crime group appeared at Hull Crown Court on Monday, 13th July 2026, where they pleaded guilty to a series of class A drugs offences.

Nathan Langton, 32, formerly of Burstall Hill in Bridlington, Liam Langton, 28, of Quay Street in Scarborough, and Lewis Wenn, 29, of The Close in Cottingham, admitted conspiring to supply class A cocaine.

Jordan Withey, 27, of St Georges Avenue in Bridlington, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply class A cocaine, possession with intent to supply class A cocaine, and possession of criminal property.

How the Operation Was Uncovered

The investigation began in January 2026 when officers from the Kinetic Organised Crime Group Team identified a mobile number used to advertise and sell cocaine in Bridlington and surrounding areas.

Further enquiries revealed the number was part of a network of burner phones sending bulk text messages promoting class A drugs. As detectives pieced together the network, they identified Liam Langton, Lewis Wenn and Jordan Withey — all previously convicted of drugs offences — as key facilitators.

Warrants, Arrests and Seizures

On Wednesday 4th March, coordinated warrants were executed in Bridlington and Scarborough.

  • Withey was arrested after officers found a significant quantity of class A drugs and around £7,000 in criminal cash at his home.

  • Liam Langton attempted to throw a mobile phone out of a window as officers forced entry. The device was seized and later proved vital, linking him to Wenn and to conversations with his brother Nathan, who was running the operation from prison.

CCTV, Phone Data and Financial Evidence

Detailed analysis uncovered how members of the group travelled together, prepared cocaine, and used multiple phones to advertise the drugs line.

One CCTV clip showed Lewis Wenn buying a top‑up voucher for one of the phones before leaving in a vehicle insured by Liam Langton.

Detectives also found evidence showing Withey provided a base for storing and supplying cocaine, as well as holding cash generated by the operation.

Further Arrests and Prison Search

On Wednesday 1st April, officers traced Lewis Wenn to a holiday property near South Cave. Two phones seized during his arrest contained messages arranging cocaine deals.

Messages between Wenn and a contact saved as “Fat” were later confirmed to be conversations with Nathan Langton, who boasted about making money from behind bars and even discussed using drones to deliver contraband into prison.

On Thursday 7th May, specialist prison officers searched Nathan Langton’s cell. He attempted to hide a mobile phone under his bedding before handing it over. Analysis confirmed it had been used to run the drugs line — which ceased operating immediately after its seizure.

All four men are due to be sentenced on Tuesday, 28 July at Hull Crown Court.

Police Statement

Officer in the case, PC Karl Freeman, said the investigation shows the reality of organised crime:

“It’s a group of individuals motivated by money, willing to exploit addiction and bring harm into our communities. Even after three of his associates had been arrested, Nathan still tried to keep the drugs line alive, convinced he could stay one step ahead, which inevitably failed.”

He praised the work of detectives, analysts and prison partners, adding:

“Every organised crime group we dismantle makes our communities safer and sends a clear message that there is nowhere criminals can hide — not even behind prison walls.”

He encouraged residents to continue reporting concerns, noting that all information helps build the bigger picture.
