Comedian Jimmy Cricket with his trademark R & L Wellington Boots will be coming back to the wonderful Spa Theatre in Bridlington, on Sunday 15 March 2026 for a 1.30pm afternoon show!

Jimmy Cricket is one of the UK's most loved Irish comedians, having made four series for Central Television in the mid 1980's and his own BBC Radio 2 series in the 1990's, alongside numerous television appearances and Royal Variety Shows; his TV credits also include Bullseye,The Krankies Club, Summertime Special, Starburst, Good Old Days, over the decades!

Jimmy Cricket's act is a unique blend of observational comedy, storytelling and musical performance, often featuring self-deprecating humour and a focus on everyday life and the human condition, all delivered with a charming and engaging stage presence.
Jimmy has toured with The Osmonds, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Frank Carson and many more.

Wish You Were Here at 50

Think Floyd's 2025 tour celebrates the 50th anniversary of 'Wish You Were Here'. This brand new production will feature a complete performance of the iconic album, as well as the whole range of classic Pink Floyd from The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, The Division Bell and more.

Wish You Were Here is regarded as one of the greatest albums in rock history. Featuring the masterpiece 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' as well as the title track, the album reflects themes of absence and the band's disillusionment of fame and the music industry.

Pink Floyd's Nick Mason describes Think Floyd as "Brilliant! - They are really good." In an interview on LBC the legendary drummer commended Think Floyd and rather generously called them "better than we are".

Ben Portsmouth brings you his jaw-dropping tribute to The King of Rock and Roll

Ben, from Berkshire, is a singer, songwriter, musician and actor (Autopsy: The Last Hours of Elvis 2014 & Elvis: Are You Lonesome Tonight 2020) and most notably an internationally renowned Elvis Tribute Artist.

Ben had Elvis's DNA in his blood from an early age. His father was an avid Elvis fan and Ben grew up on a diet of Elvis songs. Having honed his musical talent Ben started his journey as an Elvis Tribute Artist in 2005 when he formed the Taking Care of Elvis Band.

After winning many prestigious awards, it was in August 2012 when Ben made history, winning the Elvis Presley Enterprises 'Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest' in Memphis, crowning Ben as the "Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist", the first artist from outside the USA to ever win this prestigious title.

The 18th Bridlington Northern and Modern Soul Weekender takes place on 26, 27 & 28 June 2026.

This event regularly attracts an attendance of over two thousand souls into Bridlington, situated exclusively in the wonderful Bridlington Spa using 6 rooms all under one roof for easy movement for those who want to try the full experience of rare soul music from the last 8 decades!

The event is principally focused on using Yorkshire based DJ's, although not exclusively.
The 6 rooms offer a wide choice of styles of American black music from the early rhythm and blues sounds of the late 1950s through to the early 1960s with gritty vocals and hard hitting rhythms.

There's a nod to the classic soul of the Motor City in our Hitsville Cafe sessions, as the rare and not so rare rub shoulders, as the DJs keep the dance floor full.

Our Modern Soul room is rated as one of the best in the country, with DJs playing everything from the mid '70s right through to the soulful newly released sounds of 2026 and everything in between.

If you like your soul "rare" then our Rare Soul room is exactly what it says on the tin, with DJs playing obscure 45s from small labels from the industrial heartland of the USA, unissued tracks that only exist on one off acetates. These discs fetch thousands of pounds when, and if, they ever surface for sale, with DJ's and collectors splashing the cash to obtain these exclusive tracks.

Our 5th room is opened up to small soul clubs from throughout the UK, these clubs help us raise money for our chosen charity, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, based in South Yorkshire by running events where the DJs give their time for free to raise money. The East Coast Soul Collective is proud to have raised over £88,000 so far for this great charity!

Finally we have the jewel in the crown with the main ballroom, which features a large maple sprung dance floor, which was once the largest in Europe! This is ideal for our Northern Soul dancers and you'll hear quality records from the mid to late '60s and a smattering of quality '70s Classic sounds from the great Northern clubs like Wigan Casino, The Torch, Top of the World, Stafford etc.

During the weekend there are dedicated sessions, like Cleethorpes Pier, which recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first all-nighter! Plus many others. Our ladies DJ sessions was the first of its sort in the UK!

There will be over 50 DJs playing over the weekend in the 6 rooms with people attending from all around the UK and indeed Worldwide, such is the appeal and quality of the event.

On the 30th anniversary of the peak of Britpop, this huge indoor festival will celebrate the 90's biggest bands with a line up containing tributes to Oasis, Blur and Pulp.

OASIZ are one of the UK's most authentic Oasis tribute bands, a point proved in 2023 when a short clip of front man Steve performing as Liam went viral on social media with over 10 million views. Many fans were convinced the clip was actually of Liam Gallagher which led to the story being covered in the national press as well as a high profile TV appearance later that year. Their setlist will include all the big hitting anthems that you would associate with a greatest hits tour.

Blur 2 are the definitive and original Blur tribute band, renowned throughout the UK. Recreating the sound and energy of Blur is at the core of Blur2. With a live show jam packed with the hits, they are regulars on the tribute festival circuit as well as being a staple band on the live music venue and theatre tour scene. With multiple sell out shows each year they are sure to put the woo hoo into every performance.

Pulp'd are described as the worlds number 1 tribute band to Britpop royalty. They are regulars on the touring tribute band scene, considered to be amongst the elite. A staple of the festival scene as well as multiple sold out venue and theatre shows each year Pulp'd bring the hits, the passion and of course the quirky Jarvis Cocker moves.
