Bridlington fundraiser Andy Stockdale has successfully completed his long‑awaited Wing Walk in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, after dreadful weather on Friday forced the challenge to be postponed.

Andy, who has become well known for his adrenaline‑fuelled charity efforts, was originally due to take on the Wing Walk at RAF Church Fenton on Friday 12th June 2026. Poor weather conditions meant the event had to be called off — but thanks to the generosity of the Wing Walk company, Andy was offered the chance to return on Monday 15th June, and conditions were perfect.

The team delayed their return especially so Andy could complete his challenge, something he says he is “really grateful” for.

After landing safely, Andy was absolutely buzzing.

He said he had thoroughly enjoyed the experience, adding that he “could not have been looked after any better” and praising the team for being “really good” throughout.

Support for Andy was strong on the day, with several volunteers turning up to cheer him on, along with his boss — and even a few friends who appeared unexpectedly, making the moment even more special.

Andy has previously taken on a Christmas Day North Sea dip and a 10,000‑ft skydive for the charity, and his Wing Walk marks another bold chapter in his fundraising journey.
