Neighbourhood Watch is calling on residents across the country to help celebrate the volunteers who work tirelessly to keep local communities safe, connected, and supported.

Nominations have now opened for the 2026 Neighbourhood Watch Volunteer Recognition Awards, which shine a spotlight on the people whose dedication strengthen our neighbourhoods.

The organisation says its volunteers are “the heart of Neighbourhood Watch”, making a daily difference by supporting neighbours, tackling local issues, promoting safety, and helping to bring people together.

Residents are being encouraged to nominate anyone who consistently goes above and beyond in their role. Eligible nominees include Scheme and Area Coordinators, Cyberhood Watch Ambassadors, Membership Support Administrators, Association Leads, committee members, Youth Council members, and Trustees.

There is also a Young Volunteer Award, recognising young people across the country who champion Neighbourhood Watch values and make a meaningful contribution to their community.

The 2026 award categories are:

  • Crime Prevention

  • Community Health and Wellbeing

  • Innovation and Reach

  • Young Volunteer

  • Special Recognition Award

Nominations close on Sunday 5 July 2026.

Neighbourhood Watch says this is a chance for people to celebrate the individuals whose commitment, passion, and hard work help make local communities safer, stronger, and more resilient.
