Beechwood Care Centre Launches ‘Christmas Together’ to Support Older People in Bridlington

Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington has launched a heart‑warming community campaign called Christmas Together, aimed at bringing festive cheer to older people who may be spending Christmas alone.

The initiative hopes to ensure that every older resident in the community feels remembered, valued and cared for during what can be a difficult and lonely time of year for many.

Beechwood Care Centre is inviting local businesses, schools, community groups, families and individuals to donate small Christmas gifts that will be delivered to older people across the area. The team says even the simplest gesture can make a meaningful difference.

Donations can include: ❤️ A small Christmas gift 🧦 Warm socks or gloves 🧴 Toiletries or hand cream 🍫 Chocolates, biscuits or festive treats 🧩 Puzzle books or activities ☕ A mug or something cosy 🎄 A Christmas decoration 💌 A handwritten Christmas card

The care centre says gifts do not need to be expensive — a thoughtful message or a small treat can bring comfort and joy to someone who may otherwise have very little at Christmas.

Schools are encouraged to create Christmas cards or collect gifts, businesses can act as collection points, and individuals can put together a small festive gift bag. The aim is to bring the community together in a shared act of kindness.
