Humberside Police have relaunched Operation Coastline as the force prepares for one of the busiest periods of the year across East Yorkshire’s coastal communities.
Throughout the summer, officers and partner agencies will be working across towns and villages including Bridlington, Hornsea and Withernsea to help keep residents, businesses and visitors safe.
The operation will combine high‑visibility patrols with targeted policing activity aimed at tackling shoplifting, road crime and the anti‑social use of motorcycles. Officers will also focus on disrupting organised crime groups and addressing violence against women and girls, particularly around the night‑time economy.
Police say the mix of visible policing, community engagement and intelligence‑led operations is designed to prevent crime and anti‑social behaviour while ensuring coastal areas remain welcoming places to live, work and visit.
