Humberside Police are appealing for information after two pedestrians were injured in a collision involving a silver Peugeot Teepee Expert van on Trinity Road, Bridlington, at around 9am on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026.
Emergency services attended the scene, where an 83‑year‑old woman was taken to hospital with life‑threatening injuries. A second pedestrian, a 78‑year‑old woman, was also taken to hospital for treatment to serious but non‑life‑threatening injuries.
The 35‑year‑old man driving the van was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody.
Officers are continuing their investigation and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, to contact the non‑emergency number 101, quoting log 105 of 22nd July.
