Christmas Comes Early as Bridmas Returns to Bridlington for a Day of Festive Magic

Bridlington is set to celebrate Christmas in the sunshine as Bridmas returns for its third year, bringing a full day of festive fun to the coast on Wednesday, 5th August 2026. Running from 10am to 4pm, the event transforms South Beach, the promenade and key venues across the town into a summer‑holiday winter wonderland.

Families are invited to swap snow for sand as carolling, Christmas characters, competitions and beach‑side entertainment take over the seafront. The event also marks the launch of Bridlington’s winter programme, with exclusive discounts on December events available only on Bridmas day.

From Sewerby Hall and Gardens to Bridlington Spa, King Street Market and the sands of South Beach, visitors can enjoy a packed schedule of activities, performances and drop‑in sessions designed to bring festive cheer to all ages.

What’s Happening at Bridmas 2026

Bridlington Spa

• Free screening of The Grinch at 1.30pm (booking required at bridspa.com)

On the Beach

• Coastal Voices Choir performing Christmas songs at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm

• Festive Face Painter (charges apply): 10am – 11.30am & 1.30pm – 2pm

• Christmas Tree & Snow Angel Stilt Walkers: 10am – 1pm

• Elf & Bubble Show from 10am

• Santa’s Grotto: multiple sessions between 10.15am – 3pm

• Train Time Drop‑In: 10am – 1pm

• Local groups and businesses including Hunters, Hinge, Oral Health, and Christmas Crafts: 10am – 3pm

Fun, fast‑paced festive challenges throughout the day, including:

• Flying Reindeers

• Dress the Snowman
