Jousting Spectacular Returns to Sewerby Hall and Gardens This April

Sewerby Hall and Gardens will once again echo with the clash of lances and the thunder of hooves as its ever‑popular Jousting event returns on Sunday, 5th April.
The action-packed day will feature England’s number one jousting team, travelling from Nottingham with around 20 skilled jousters and their horses, including crowd favourites the Black Knight and Sir Michael of York.
Two full displays will take place at 1pm and 2.30pm, transforming the front field into a lively medieval arena where rival knights compete for points in a fast-paced test of skill and bravery.
Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, tourism and leisure at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:
“This popular event, which forms part of the Easter programme at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, is sure to draw in the crowds.
This fast-paced and action-packed event is a great way for families and visitors to enjoy something different whilst taking in the beauty of Sewerby Hall and Gardens.”
Visitors can also enjoy refreshments throughout the day, with the Clock Tower Café open and serving a range of food and drink.
