The break‑in happened between 11pm on 17th July 2026 and 8.35am on 18th July 2026, when the property was approached and entered while the occupants were away or asleep.

Officers are appealing for anyone with CCTV or video doorbell footage, or anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area during the night, to come forward. Information can be reported via the non‑emergency number 101, quoting occurrence reference 26100250*.

Police are reminding residents to keep homes secure and follow the WIDEN principles:

  • Windows: Keep them closed and locked

  • Interior: Use timers or smart bulbs for lighting

  • Doors: Double‑lock or deadlock doors

  • Exterior: Use sensor‑activated lighting

  • Neighbours: Look out for one another

To help identify stolen property, officers also recommend forensic marking, UV pens, and registering valuables on www.immobilise.com, a free national database used by police forces to reunite stolen items with their owners.

Anyone with a burglar alarm is advised to ensure it is set and working correctly.
