East Riding of Yorkshire Council is encouraging residents and visitors to join celebrations for National Tourism Week, taking place from Friday 13th to Sunday 22nd March.

The annual campaign shines a spotlight on the East Riding’s thriving visitor economy, from its world‑class coastline and heritage attractions to the dedicated teams across the council who help make the region one of the UK’s most welcoming destinations.

National Tourism Week also provides an opportunity to highlight the work taking place across the area to support communities, attract visitors and strengthen the local tourism offer.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens

Sewerby Hall and Gardens welcomed more than 125,000 visitors in 2025 and is marking 2026 with a full programme of heritage and cultural events.
This spring, the historic estate has launched a wide range of activities, family trails and exhibitions designed to enhance the visitor experience. Highlights include Rusticus performances, Wildcats nature sessions, Sewerby Zoo activities, face painting, and medieval jousting.
The much‑loved Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition will also return on Saturday 9th May, showcasing some of the world’s finest nature photography from professionals, enthusiasts and conservationists.
Sewerby Zoo continues to be a popular attraction, home to a variety of domestic and wild animals from around the world, including pygmy goats from Africa. Visitors can enjoy close‑up encounters and a range of interactive experiences.

The Edge: Aerial Adventure

Located at South Cliff Holiday Park in Bridlington, The Edge: Aerial Adventure offers a thrilling high‑ropes experience for individuals, families and school groups.

Operated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the attraction features two rope courses designed for all ages. The high‑ropes course includes 20 challenging elements, such as the chasm jump, hanging stirrups and a zip wire, while the low‑ropes course provides a gentler introduction for younger adventurers or those building confidence.

The Edge will reopen for the season on Saturday 28th March.

Bridlington Spa

Overlooking Bridlington Bay, Bridlington Spa continues to attract world‑class performers and touring productions, offering a vibrant programme throughout spring.
Events include musical performances, daytime discos, National Theatre screenings, festivals, tribute acts, family shows and dinosaur‑themed adventures.
Open 364 days a year, the venue also hosts weddings, conferences, meetings and training events, supported by an experienced in‑house team.

Coastal Services
East Riding Coastal Services work year‑round to maintain and enhance the region’s award‑winning coastline.
Bridlington remains a favourite destination for families, offering miles of golden sand, cafés and attractions. Visitors can enjoy a scenic journey along the seafront aboard the Bridlington Land Train, or relax in one of the popular beach chalets, located beside the promenade paddling pool.
