Supporting Young People Across East Riding

The fund is designed to boost activities that benefit young people aged 10–19, care leavers up to 25, and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It’s built around five key pillars of youth work: educative, expressive, participative, inclusive, and empowering—principles that guide how youth workers engage and support young people.

Eligible applicants include:- Voluntary and community groups- Registered charities- Not-for-profit companies- Community interest companies- Youth groups- Faith-based organisations

Past recipients include Beverley Cherry Tree Community Centre, Lund Village Hall, Goole Youth Action, and Fuse Youth Service.

Council Leader Encourages Participation

Councillor Anne Handley, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We’re proud to support communities through our DIFEY programme, including engaging with young people across the East Riding. We highly encourage organisations to find out more about how they can take part.”

How to Apply

Organisations should clearly outline what they want funded and include quotes for any items over £500. The focus should be on the project and its outcomes—not on promoting the organisation itself.
