DadFest Returns To Bridlington This May With A Weekend Of Outdoor Fun

DadFest will return to South Cliff Holiday Park in Bridlington this May, building on the success of last year’s event with another weekend dedicated to dads, father figures and their children.
A weekend celebrating fatherhood
Run in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Rewilding Youth, DadFest is a ‘Festival of Fatherhood’ created by The Dads’ Network CIC. Open to dads, male carers and father figures with children of any age, the festival was named Best Small Event in the UK by the National Outdoor Events Association in 2025.
The focus of the weekend is simple: quality time outdoors, strengthening bonds, and making new friends in a relaxed, nature‑based setting.
Activities across the weekendAll activities and camping are included in the ticket price for the full weekend, running from Friday 15 May to Sunday 17 May. Qualified leaders will run a wide mix of sessions, including:
• Archery
• Camping and storytelling
• Bat walks
• Kids’ disco
• Den building
• Trampolines
• Star‑gazing
• Water rockets
• High ropes
• Beach games
• Forest School activities
DadFest also hosts the ever‑popular Regional Dad Dancing Championships, where one dad will earn the title of Yorkshire Champion.

Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said he was delighted to see the festival return:
“This unique festival gives dads and children the chance to connect with nature while enjoying fun activities that help develop new skills and strengthen family bonds. I took part in the last DadFest with my daughter and we had a fantastic time.”
Ian Blackwell, founder of The Dads’ Network, added:
“We’re thrilled to bring our small, award‑winning festival back to East Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Dad Dancing Championship is always a highlight—hugely competitive for the dads and hugely embarrassing for the kids! The winner will take home bragging rights, a trophy, and free tickets to the World Dad Dancing Championships in Devon this September.”
