Bridlington Round Table has hailed this year’s Santa’s Sleigh as a resounding success, after the festive fundraiser brought in an impressive £8,756.50 to support the local community.

The annual event, which sees volunteers accompany Santa around the town spreading Christmas cheer, was made possible thanks to the dedication of Round Table members and volunteers who braved the winter weather night after night. Their commitment ensured families across Bridlington were able to enjoy the magic of the season.

Organisers also paid tribute to the many sponsors whose support helped bring the sleigh to life. Their contributions provided the resources needed to deliver smiles, laughter and festive spirit to residents young and old.

But the biggest thanks, said the Round Table, goes to the people of Bridlington themselves. Hundreds turned out to greet Santa, donate generously, or simply step outside to wave as the sleigh passed by. That community spirit, organisers say, is what makes the town so special.

Every penny raised will be reinvested directly into Bridlington, helping those in need and funding local initiatives. The Round Table has encouraged anyone facing a difficult time to reach out for support.
